Our Commitment to Better Hearing

Spring is just around the corner. . . and May has been designated Better Hearing Month.

Untreated hearing loss can make it difficult to meet new people, keep up in a classroom, or enjoy social gatherings. It can act as a barrier between you and family and friends, which is why Helen Keller said her deafness was a greater problem than her blindness.

Millions of people who have hearing loss never seek help. Too often, hearing loss goes unrecognized, especially by the person with the hearing loss. As a result, these people have greater struggles with communication, are more isolated and more likely to have stress and anxiety in social and work settings.

If you know someone with hearing loss who has put off getting help, this is a good time to encourage them to come in for a hearing evaluation, and if they do, then May will truly be Better Hearing Month

(Closing as in last issue)
